Dislocated Boston Store worker finds new employment.
Viktoryia was laid off from Boston Store in 2018. English is her second language so searching for jobs was difficult for her. She connected with the WorkSmart Network through Rapid Response sessions and learned about the services available to her through the DWG Retail Grant.
WorkSmart helped Viktoryia develop her resume, practice for interviews, search jobs and explore training options. She completed a work experience in 2019 and enrolled in the accounting program at Madison College in July 2019.
It was an amazing experience, at this moment I have a resume, a job that I like and I go to college! A couple years ago, I could not dream of such a thing. But this program helped me believe in myself and future success, and fulfill my dreams. Now I am a successful student with new goals and plans.

While Viktoryia continues her education, she is also employed at Children’s First earning $16.50 per hour.
