The Workforce Development Board of South Central Wisconsin (WDBSCW) provides the strategic and operational oversight to develop a comprehensive and quality talent development system in six counties of south central Wisconsin: Columbia, Dane, Dodge, Jefferson, Marquette and Sauk. We develop partnerships with business, education and workforce partners to ensure the system is responsive to the evolving needs of business, workers and the communities we serve. The WDBSCW is a private, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization.
Our mission is to forge public and private partnerships that support innovation and excellence in workforce development. With this charge, we continue to develop and deliver workforce strategies with education, economic and workforce system partners to ensure our local workforce is prepared to meet the needs of business in our region.
Laid Off From Retail?
Were you impacted by a retail store closure like Shopko, Toys"R"Us or Boston Store? We're hosting a transferable skills workshop and an interviewing event in partnership with the WorkSmart Network and Wisconsin Job Service to help workers affected by retail closures. Even if you've since secured employment, you can attend to learn how you can start a new career.
