Ted was released from incarceration in August of 2018. Upon release, Windows to Work helped him with additional supports, like transportation to search for jobs and obtaining work clothing.
He immediately found a job making $12.45 per hour in a manufacturing plant, but it was 44 miles round-trip every day. Windows to Work helped Ted with mileage reimbursement so he could budget properly and continue to save for his own place with his children.
Ted worked at the manufacturing plant until March when he was offered a job making $16.50 at a landscaping company. The position afforded a more sustainable wage to support his family and a shorter commute. He was extremely grateful for the help of Windows to Work in getting him there.
