Young adult gains employment to help support family.
Shortly after this young adult earned his high school diploma in 2019, his family became at risk of losing their housing.
He needed to obtain employment with a good wage and wanted a job that was hands-on in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
He connected with the WorkSmart Network (a team of WIOA Title I service providers) for employment support. His Career Planner connected him to Bell Laboratories where he was hired as a third shift package earning $15.50 per hour.
This young adult continues to enjoy his work and feels good about being able to help support his family. Recently. he shared that his family found stable housing.
