Dislocated retail worker moves into project management.
Eric was dislocated from Shopko in April 2019. He connected with the WorkSmart Network to learn about the services available to him through the DWG Retail Grant, including resume development and mileage assistance.
He was interested in continuing his education to become a project manager, but had limited program options due to his lack of income. WorkSmart helped him connect with a program and assisted with tuition.
In June 2019, Erin completed the Certified Scrum Master training and accepted a position with Telaid Industries. Within six months, he received a promotion to Senior Project Manager.
