First Statewide Business Services Summit convenes hundreds of workforce professionals

Collabor8 2014, the first Statewide Business Services Summit, was held in Madison on April 24-25. The event convened nearly 200 workforce professionals to learn and discuss how to better service Wisconsin businesses. The Wisconsin Workforce Development Association and its Business Services Group hosted and planned the event in partnership with the State of Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development. Funding for the event was provided by Skills Wisconsin, a Workforce Innovation Fund project.

The event included two general sessions and 10 breakout sessions around collaboration for quality business service, including presentations by Steve Van Remortel, author of the award-winning book, Stop Selling Vanilla Ice Cream, Abraham Jankans of Launchpad, and Jim Lautenschleger and Christine Quinn of Michigan Works.
