Retail Dislocated Worker Grant helps worker gain job.
Karen was dislocated from Boston Store in August 2018. She connected with the WorkSmart Network (a local team of WIOA Title I service providers) in December to learn about the services available to her under the Retail Dislocated Worker Grant program (funded under WIOA).
With her Career Planner, Karen reviewed labor market information, developed her resume, searched available jobs and prepared for interviews. In March 2019, she obtained employment with the Bruce Company of Wisconsin as a Visual Merchandiser earning $15.50 per hour.
