Recruitment & Skill Development

The South Central Wisconsin region is rich with talent. But we know at times the process to recruit and hire can be challenging. When you need to find talent, we can help with reliable labor market information, insights into industry trends, access to talent pools, and additional information on hiring options and incentives.

Hiring workers is just the start to building a strong workforce – the next step is keeping them. Continuous training and worker development keeps your employees on the cutting edge of industry developments. Studies show that building the skills of employees can improve productivity and workforce retention.

One of our many services is helping to facilitate the partnership between businesses and training providers. We can help you save on training costs by connecting you with other businesses in your area that have similar training needs. There are many tactics and incentives to consider and we can work with you to identify solutions to foster employee development and increase workforce retention within your company walls.

So you’re ready to hire. The On-the-Job Training (OJT) Program is designed specifically to help laid off and unemployed workers experiencing prolonged unemployment transition back to work. For businesses, it’s an affordable way to train and invest in new workers and help expand your business.

On-the-Job Training

We’re continuing to invest in targeted workforce development strategies to better prepare, build and maintain a skilled workforce for the region’s driver industries – biotechnology and life sciences, construction, healthcare, information and communication technology, and manufacturing.

Think of this as an early recruitment and training strategy for your future talent pool. Companies can gain new employees that are ready to learn the business while alleviating worker shortages. The program allows you to train the employee to fit your specific needs in your facility, on your equipment, in your environment, and to your specific standards and goals.
