How We Can Help

The WDBSCW is committed to supporting businesses by addressing workforce challenges and enhancing growth opportunities. Our goal is to help businesses thrive in a competitive environment while contributing to the development of a skilled local workforce. We offer services such as assistance to companies undergoing layoffs or downsizes to maintain employee morale and uphold positive community relations, provide recruitment and training support to employees and apprentices as well as coordinate networking events for employers, fostering collaboration and connections that benefit businesses across sectors.

Are you facing a downsizing or closure? The Rapid Response Program helps businesses navigate this challenging time by providing transition assistance for affected workers as well as opportunities for training and career resources, strengthening the talent pool and ensuring access to skilled workers, while maintaining employee morale and upholding positive community relations.

Are you looking for assistance with recruiting and training employees or apprentices? We have several programs that can help your workers develop more industry-specific skills, reimburse your business for costs related to training an apprentice, alleviate worker shortage, and more!

We’re continuing to ensure the available workforce in South Central Wisconsin is equipped with the necessary skills and that businesses find quality workers. As active members of the region’s industry councils, we’re constantly listening to the needs of industry and working with businesses and partners to identify workforce solutions. We’ll connect you to a council in your area where you can network with other industry partners and learn about economic and workforce development issues of value.
