Local Job Fairs

Through Job Center of Wisconsin, you can get information about local job fairs in your area complete with industry-specific events, in-person and virtual opportunities, contact information, and more. 

Hiring Events

Your local job center can provide a space for employer-sponsored recruitment events for free. Contact your local job center for more information on signing up to attend a hiring event.

Job Center of Wisconsin allows employers to post job openings and search through profiles of candidates who match your needed skills. You can even find support to write up job descriptions to attract candidates that are right for you. Job Center of Wisconsin provides a diverse range of candidates to support equal opportunity compliance efforts.

WisConomy

WisConomy provides detailed insights into labor market data such as wage information, industry and occupation projections, labor force reports, and more, so that your business can make informed decisions.

ONET

ONET gives detailed occupation-specific profiles including necessary skills and requirements, work values, relevant work and education experience, characteristics, and so much more to select qualified and talented individuals.

Skill Explorer

Skill Explorer provides occupation data and includes career cluster and education information as well. Occupation profiles include annual wage info, current job openings in the field by county, and job growth projections. 

Wisconsin County Profiles

Wisconson County Profiles provides snapshots of population analysis, occupational patterns, employment projections and more. It also includes barriers to employment ranging from housing and childcare to internet and transportation. Detailed reports by county are available for download as well.

Unemployment

Navigating a layoff or downsize is challenging both for businesses and affected workers. The following resources provide more information for businesses undergoing layoffs including transition strategies, relevant contacts and resources available to your company and workers.

Unemployment Handbook

The Department of Workforce Development provides an Unemployment Insurance (UI) handbook for employers with information on Wisconsin's UI program, benefits, taxes and more.

Rapid Response (RR)

The Rapid Response team provides on-site services to your company and workers to help manage the transition to unemployment. They will provide informational sessions about insurance, healthcare, and more, as well as re-employment services like job search assistance and resume development. RR benefits your company in many ways including reduced UI costs as workers may get re-employed faster and upholding positive community relations. 

Dislocated Worker Program

All workers who have been laid off are eligible for the WIOA Dislocated Worker program which provides affected workers with specialized services to get them re-employed or upgrade their skillset to find a new job as soon as possible. The Dislocated Worker program will be presented by the Rapid Response team. More info available here.
