Whether you're an individual seeking guidance or an industry looking to grow your talent pool, we’re here to connect you with the resources that will help you succeed.

Our Mission

Our mission is to foster growth in Columbia, Dane, Dodge, Jefferson, and Sauk Counties so that individuals and businesses in South Central Wisconsin can thrive. By leveraging federal, state, and local resources, we connect job seekers and employers with the opportunities they need to excel in their goals.

WorkSmart Network

WorkSmart is an organization supported by WDBSCW that specializes in delivering workforce services and solutions to help individuals across South Central Wisconsin. Whether you need help starting or planning a career, earning a degree/certification, finding employees, or overcoming barriers, the WorkSmart Network is here for you.

With partners, WorkSmart provides specialized programs and services to underserved populations, including dislocated workers, recipients of public assistance programs, veterans, people with disabilities, reentering ex-offenders and at-risk young adults. Contact your local job center for more information!

American Job Centers

We support 3 American Job Centers (AJCs) that connect people with employment and training services: The Dane County Job Center, Sauk County Job Center and the Workforce Development Center of Jefferson County.

The system includes government and community-based organizations that improve job opportunities through economic support, trainings and education. They also provide access to critical job and skill development services and resources, as well as business services through partnerships with other local, state and federal agencies, education, and economic development organizations.
